NEK9 teams have participated in hundreds of searches since our founding in 1981, and have saved public safety agencies thousands of dollars through the use of volunteer resources.

All NEK9 services provided to requesting agencies and to the family of the lost person are free of charge.

NEK9 members incur all costs including gas, vehicles, training, equipment, and dog expenses. By donating to NEK9, a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status you can help offset the cost of each member.

Your tax-deductible donation to NEK9 will be used for such things as equipment, training seminars and veterinary expenses for injured K9s.

Please send your tax-deductible donations to:

Honorary Donations

Here’s a unique way to recognize someone special: You or your family and friends can make a donation to NEK-9 Search & Rescue honoring a birthday, anniversary, holiday, or any special occasion.  We will acknowledge all donations to both the recipient and the donor.

Gifts may be sent to:

New England K-9 Search and Rescue
P.O. BOX 407
Grantham, NH 03753

(NEK-9 SAR is an IRS-recognized nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. All gifts are tax deductable)

Here are two great examples of this giving opportunity: We are honored by the generous donations made by these two young women.

Cheyenne Balser (age 7), met one of our dog handlers at her preschool in 2006 during a “Lostproofing” program. One year later (with the support of her parents) she began to raise funds for NEK-9 SAR. On her birthday she asked her friends and family to donate to us instead of buying her gifts. Here is Cheyenne with Nancy Lyon and her search dog Quiklie.  [Note: Cheyenne continues to come up with fund raising projects for our team.]

Kaleigh Davis (age 10). According to her Mom, “My daughter has a great interest in search and rescue as a future career. She has a special love for animals and the wilderness. Ever since attending a wilderness medicine conference with me last summer, Kaileigh has been focused on search and rescue. She would like to help support NEK-9 SAR. Kaleigh is turning 10 next month and has asked her family and friends to support you by providing donations for NEK-9 SAR in lieu of birthday gifts.”
